SLADE REUNION

Jena, Tara and Tona came to town to have a mini reunion with Mell and Virgil.
We ate a lot of delicious food, played games and had a great time!

CHEYANNE THE RUNNER

CHEYANNE THE RUNNER!

Cheyanne started running cross country this year in High School.
She is awesome! Here is this little girl who gives her
whole heart when she runs and she is fast!
We went out to Boulder City to the State Qualifier.
Cheyanne stayed right on the girl who won the previous year and is a seasoned runner.
At the end Cheyanne gave it her all to pass her up but didn't quite make it.
She came in second place and of course qualified for State.
Cheyanne is my Hero!
Way to go girl!

They waited to start

JONNY GETS MARRIED

Finally, one of my siblings children gets married!
After I have 5 married children and 13 grandchildren,
Lisa's oldest, Jonny, is going to take the plunge.

Jonny and Megan seem like a perfect little match!
You can tell Megan just adores him!

May the Lord hold you in the palm of His hand
and not squeeze too tight!

Stacy's Lotoja Race

September 12, 2009

LOTOJA

Stacy did Lotoja this year. It was so exciting! Lotoja is a bicycle race from
Logan Utah to Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
I was Stacy's support team and threw sandwiches out to him along the way.
I wanted to do the race so bad but I knew I couldn't race 200 miles. Well, come to find out there is a Fun Ride category, and you could even do it in a relay. So next year watch out!

The race began at 5:30 am.

Stacy's first pit stop!

Yeah, He's smiling now!

Check it out! 14 hours later he's still smiling as he crosses the finish line!

STACY'S MY HERO!
WHAT A CHAMP THIS MAN IS!

Something happens to me every time I travel thru Star Valley!
I am over come with the beauty of it all! I took more pictures of the scenery than of Stacy!

Don't you wish you could wake up to this every morning!

After the race we stayed at the gorgeous Teton Village Lodge.
The next day Stacy took me to see the infamous Stewart Ranch. Susan Bunker's family has owned this ranch for years and Stacy goes with Jon every fall for the Round up.
I was so excited to finally see this beautiful piece of heaven on earth
that I've heard so much about!

This is the entrance to CROW CREEK RANCH!

THE HOMESTEAD

I've always had a love of horses and yet I am scared to death of them. Brent Stewart has a dozen beautiful highly trained horses! They do their job with a lot of skill. When they're not at work they graze all day and rotate around the Ranch House like clockwork.

This little shelf of boots was in Susan's Parents house.
There was a pair or two in every size.
I bet Susan wore some of these boots!

You can find all kinds of treasures in Brent's tac room.

What a Beautiful Place on Earth!
I can see why this has become such a HAVEN for the Stewart Family!

THE RODEO

THE CLARK COUNTY FAIR AND RODEO

March 2009

Stacy and I had such a great time at the Lagandale rodeo last year
that we couldn't wait to go this year.
We put an open invitation to the kids and grandkids
and Liam and Deisel were our only takers!
So off we went to the Rodeo.
We had a great time,
but I think they were more excited about the treasures they got to bring home.

Deisel chose a cowboy hat to buy at the Rodeo.
He insisted on a white hat that was just like Grandpa's!

Liam chose a gun to come home from the Rodeo with!

Actually, the other takers we got for the Rodeo were Mell and Virgil!
They have some good friends, the Barneys, who had moved out to Logandale.
Mell was telling me that they were going to have their big fair soon.
So I got on line and realized it was the following weekend.
If Mell hadn't said anything, we would have missed the rodeo this year.
So I told Mell and Virgil they were welcome to come with us.
That next week at the temple,
all their friends told them what a great rodeo it was,
and they called me back to see if they could go with us.
Mell and Virgil are always fun to be around!
They are a party in and of themselves!

WE HAD A GREAT TIME AT THE CLARK COUNTY RODEO!

Carol comes to town

WE WERE THE 3 STOOGES!

TOGETHER AGAIN!

March 2009

Back in March, Carol came to town and
we all were able to get together for an afternoon.
It was so fun to be able to just relax and
find out what was going on in each other's lives.

You know how you have those special friends in your life.
You maybe don't see for years, and then when you finally get together,
things pick up like it was just yesterday!
Carol and Kim are those friends!

All through Jr. High and High School we were known as The 3 Stooges!
Today, we would be better known as The 3 Amigos!
Carol and Kim will always have a special place in my heart!
Growing up, they were those friends you could always feel safe with.
You never had to prove yourself or explain yourself.
You just knew they were there for you, and would love you no matter what!
They have proved that friendship over and over again through out the years.
Now, as we had a few moments to catch up, we could share our joys and our sorrows
and still know we were safe and loved in this circle!

CAROL AND KIM
I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU!

Summer Fun!
